We enjoy a hard won reputation both nationally and internationally for providing a service, unique in many respects, which has proved to be highly beneficial to both buyer and seller alike. The general public have come to associate our name with both exotic and everyday vehicles, allied to a courteous and professional approach from our staff.
We operate from a large showroom and sales hall complex, holding an average of 150 vehicles on site. We are open seven days a week, and attract buyers from all walks of life, looking for vehicles of varying variety and value from all parts of the U.K. Whatever the vehicle may be, we can sell it.

We are FSA approved and can arrange competitive finance packages. This greatly broadens the customer base for a vehicle, and allows us to effect a sale where a private vendor could not.
WARRANTIES
We are an Auto Protect Warranty approved dealership, and can supply warranties on every vehicle sold. Obviously this helps to give peace of mind to a potential buyer.
PART EXCHANGE
We have the facility to take any vehicle in part-exchange. In no way does this effect the vendor, who is paid out in full. Again, this facility enables us to effect a sale where a private vendor could not.
INTERNET
As part of our service the internet enables buyers to make a bid on your vehicle even while we are closed, from anywhere in the country, making this a 24hr a day sale service.

No charges are rendered until the vehicle is sold or withdrawn from the system.
All vehicles are comprehensively insured while in our custody. |

GUARANTEE |

Your vehicle will be prepared for sale and on display to the general public seven days a week.
Your vehicle will be advertised under the Portway banner in a minimum of 100 internet adverts a week.
Full details of your vehicle, including a full colour photograph, will be placed on Internet Websites on the day the vehicle enters our system, and will remain there whilst the vehicle is on sale.
Your vehicle may not be sold at a figure less than your agreed reserve price. However, we’ll advise you of any offers made or potential deals available. The final decision will always remain yours.
Your vehicle will be comprehensively insured against any eventuality whilst in our care, and security is always our paramount consideration

How we earn our money |

You, the seller, give us the net figure that you would like returning for your vehicle and we try to earn our commission on top. For example, you want £3000 returning for your car, we will have to mark your vehicle up to £3499. This gives us the chance to take bids on the vehicle and also the opportunity to take a part exchange. The difference between your reserve figure and the actual sale price achieved represents our commission. |
The next step |

Having read all of the information in this advert, should you wish to take advantage of the Portway system, then what is the next step?
Simply bring the vehicle along to us, where one of our sales staff will appraise it, and offer constructive advice regarding valuation for your reserve price. Details of the vehicle will then be entered onto our computer system, a process taking around 10 minutes. An entry form is then produced, showing full details of the vehicle, along with the reserve price that we will aim for. Please bring all of the documentation that dyou have relating to the vehicle, i.e. log book, MOT certificate, service history, bills etc. A detailed description and full colour image is available to be viewed on both Portways and the AutoTrader website within a day of the vehicle’s arrival, so we really do get to work straight away! You can then relax, secure in the knowledge that everything possible is being done to sell your vehicle in the quickest possible time.
All vehicles must be delivered in a clean and saleable condition. Any vehicles delivered in a dirty or untidy state, will be refused entry or valeted with the cost being charged to the owner on arrival. However weekly cleaning is covered by your entry fee. |
