Palace Theatre - Redditch

Redditch Borough Council has undertaken a major refurbishment of the town's Palace Theatre by investing over £3 million into the future of the building. The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) also awarded a grant of £920,500 as part of a £4 million scheme to restore the Grade II listed theatre to its former glory.

During the restoration, many of the internal and external features, such as the windows, light fixtures and decorations, have been returned to their original 1913 design. The project included the removal of all the 1970s additions to the building, and the creation of a new foyer with much improved visitor facilities which we hope you will appreciate. The building is one of the few remaining historic buildings in Redditch and therefore has great importance for the town's residents. Experts agree that the Palace is a rare example of Edwardian theatre architecture and is one of only six working examples that can be wholly attributed to its famous designer Bertie Crewe.

We urge you to come and see the fantastic work that has been done to rejuvenate the building. As always you can be assured of a warm welcome from our staff and you can once again enjoy a great evening of entertainment.

We hope that you will continue to support this jewel in Redditch's crown and that you will spend many happy hours with friends and family within its walls.
