A Special football match was played at Studley Football Club on Sunday 14th September 2008 as a tribute to a four year old boy who sadly passed away from a rare genetic condition called Leukodystrophy Krabbe

Lewis O'Neill, who sadly passed away two years ago, was a massive football fan,and in memory of him a team of family and friends battled against the Aston Villa Old stars and held them to a 1-1 draw although both teams missed chances to secure an outright victory. The day also included an auction which included items such as a Liverpool football shirt signed by Steve Gerrard, boots signed by Olef Melberg and the use of a director's box at any game at Molineux home of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Funds raised went to the Acorns Children Hospice and those wishing to make any further donations can do so into a special account at a Halifax branch Account No 00698613 sort code 11-11-34
